St. Paul
A web designer and developer in St. Paul, a short drive away.
You run a business in the Twin Cities and the website needs work. I live in Dayton's Bluff, I do the work myself, and I would rather meet at your place.
The website is usually the symptom.
A dentist, a contractor, a shop, a clinic or a law office rarely calls about the website itself. They call because something around it stopped working. These are the usual ones.
- A site nobody can update.Built on a page builder years ago by someone who has moved on. I rebuild it so your own staff can change the hours, the menu or the team page without calling anyone.
- A store whose orders get retyped.Orders land in the store and somebody keys them into accounting by hand. I connect WooCommerce or Shopify to the system you already run, so they arrive on their own.
- A letter about accessibility. An ADA demand letter or a cyber-insurance questionnaire names the website. I fix what it names and give you the evidence to send back.
- A Google listing that says the wrong thing.Wrong hours, an old address, no reviews, and a website Google cannot read well. I set the Business Profile and the site up so the people searching nearby find you.
- Hosting and email that nobody owns. The domain is in a former employee's name and the email bounces. I move it all into your name, on Cloudflare, with the records set up so mail lands.
- Something else entirely. If it runs on the web, bring it. I will tell you plainly whether I am the right person and what it would take.
I would rather see the counter than the brief.
Most of what a website has to do is decided at the front desk: how the phone gets answered, what gets written on paper, which questions customers ask twice. I learn that faster standing in your shop for an hour than from any form. So for Twin Cities businesses I start with a visit, and I keep coming back as the work goes.
Everything I set up stays in your name: the domain, the hosting, the Business Profile, the analytics. When the project ends you own the keys, and the documentation is written for whoever comes after me.
I spent more than twenty years inside Minneapolis agencies building sites for manufacturers, retailers, clinics and consumer brands. The same work is now available to a business on Payne Avenue or Grand Avenue, from one person, at one person's price.
St. Paul first, the whole metro after.
I am based in Dayton's Bluff. These are the places I meet clients in person most often. Anywhere else in the metro is a drive, and a drive is fine.
Search is mostly plumbing.
Local search comes down to a site Google can read quickly, pages that say what you do and where, and a Business Profile that is complete and current. I do that work as part of every site, and I measure it in Search Console so you can see what changed. The detail is on the services page.
